Looking to see if there are any members in the Upper Midwest (ND/SD/MN) that owns and would be generous enough to loan/rent me their timing belt tools. I am on the GDE waiting list for their rental set(s), but they are 5-6 weeks out. Please let me know...

5-6 weeks? I just tried calling them, but they are closed until tomorrow Oct 5. I'm also looking to rent from someone, but have had no luck. I'm in Iowa. I have the cam holding pins VM1052 and VM1053. I plan to make my own crankshaft locking tool. But I need the cam gear tool VM1085 so I can do my water pump, and remove my intake manifold for cleaning. There are some alternative cam gear holding tools, but none that I want to trust my engine with! $680.00 for the miller tool on their website!

I'd be willing to loan out my tools after I finish my timing job. Maybe even before if I have to wait 6 weeks to get the GDE loaners...

I have a complete tool set willing to rent out tools as needed. Just sent out the timing tools to Canada but they should be back in a couple weeks. If you need something let me know we can work something out. I am in Allen Nebraska and will ship if needed

Gokeeper, A couple of weeks sounds better than 5-6! Let me know when your set is available, and how much $ to rent them. I'm going to continue my search for a set for myself, all I need is the cam gear tool. I'm sure I'll find one eventually... Thanks! -Mike

I just started renting my tools out, I had to do the Timing belt job without the tools so when i bought a set i figured other people could benefit too. Shipping in the US runs About 7.00 for Priority Mail insured, as far as rental I'm just trying to help out and help cover the cost of the tools send me a message with what you need and what you think its worth and I'm sure we can work something out.

I will Let you know when the timing tools are on there way back.
In the Mean time I have everything except the timing tools.

I'd say 5-6 weeks is a bit optimistic to rent them through GDE. I've been on the list since 8/14. I tried to order them through miller but they were on a 2 month back order... Only option that I've found is to wait.

I am in the NAVY (Point Loma Sub Base) and just recently purchase a 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD. I am look at changing the timing belt and so far I have the timing belt and starting to gather up all the pulleys and water pump. Gokeeper do you still have the tools available for this project? I would like to get them in the first week of December.
