Do you still have the Daystar lift? Or have you upgraded to something else?

Nope no wheel spacers. I thought about using them but I don't really want to push my luck. I see how when people put rims and tires they have to do the pinch weld mod and I was hoping not to. I'm still rocking the daystar lift for now. It does ride kinda rough, but I'm not sure if I plan on keeping the jeep till its paid off. Tires I can take off and sell but these lifts that are 3 and 4k just blow my mind. Even the OME lift is around 800 and for what .3 more inches. If I end up retiring in the next few months who knows what will happen I may upgrade.

Check with Detoures. Mark has a pretty nice piece called a Knucklebone. It has a unique way of mounting into the receiver and it doesn't rock back and forth. It brings the spare up behind the rear door and swings away when you want to open it.

.3 inches? And yes the OME or any full spring lift is not worth it, I'd much rather have a poor handling, poor riding vehicle than one that does it all so much better  :ROTFL: :ROTFL:

I think thats what he was saying, you have to request it from them. It's called Knucklebone. I like how it allows for retention of the hitch, but it makes me wonder if there is any integrity loss for towing.

Well they are all knucklebone from what I seen, just which model that is, doesn't really matter I don't have my tow package installed yet. I doubt it would lose any towing integrity it's maybe using the tong weight

Mine definatley has a loss in towing capacity. The KK has a 5000 pound limit but the Knucklebone is much less. If you plan to tow a light trailer there shouldn't be a problem. If you email Mark (the owner of deroures) and let him know what you want it to do he might be able to make yours stronger. He doesn't have these things laying around, every thing he sells is made to order. Mark is VERY good at this stuff and I'm extremely happy with everything he's made for me. The only thing I would've changed on my Knucklebone is the fuel can direction but I'm still happy with it. Mention my name and tell him I said hi, you won't get a discount but he'll know what design you're talking about. :D

I really can't say, it was a special deal and a one off production prototype. I can say that they are a lot less than a bumper, this is a low cost alternative. If you aren't too far from Kentucky he can build you bumpers for a good price but be prepared to leave your KK with him for a couple weeks.

I have a dual hitch receiver( harbor freight) and it recommends to reduce the towing by 1500.

That's still 3500 lbs. what are you towing?
With the Knucklebone, there may be an issue with the depth of the receiver and I think the limit is 2000 lbs. I remove mine when we use the camper.

Nothing yet haven't installed my tow package. Just didn't figure it would reduce it that much.

So now that you've had them on for a while, how's the rubbing?

The only time it rubs is at full lock, More so in reverse than anything. It doesn't rub in the rear of the wheel well only in the front. When I off road I don't notice it unless its at full lock. I'm not going to say it doesn't grab once and a while but if it is something it would rub on I'm probably not blasting through it.

Do they rub the pinch weld on the inside of the tire when turning? Or the front on the inside?

Sorry for not specifying. No rubbing on the pinch weld, only the front of the front wheel well when full locked.
