Those tires look badass. I was trying to decide between those and the ones i got now and went with the silent armors because of being able to air them down and retain the same height because of the stiffened side walls. But i probably should of gone with the duratracs because of the snow we get here and the fact that im a firefighter/emt and sometimes have to go POV to calls. What load rating did you get? Im just looking at discount tire and they have a c1 and e1 and there's a $47 difference between the two for each tire. Just wanna get my bearings straight for the next time I get some new shoes.
Thanks Sagerist! Yeah they are bad @ss, I love em, still haven't tested them out in snow yet..but will do soon
I got them in a "C" load rating. The "E" range is definitely more durable though....these are the basic guidelines for the load ratings:
B - passenger car 4 ply rating
C- six ply rating
D - eight ply rating
E - ten ply rating
The reason I went with the C rating was because of the weight difference...so would make a significant difference in fuel economy as well as smaller things like braking /acceleration
