Sorry for not specifying. No rubbing on the pinch weld, only the front of the front wheel well when full locked.

I had the same problem with a set of soft eights and the tires im running now. They would grab the front fender liner on the inside of the tire at full lock and usually in reverse. I think wheel spacers will fix that but for the same money I can get a set of pro comp's with the proper backspace. The stock rims have a very deep backspace.

Wouldn't the wheel spacers cause rubbing on the pinch weld in my case? I wanted to do wheel spacers to give it a little wider stance but I would need way more lift to not tear up my rear fenders. Either that or a little more lift and bigger bump stops. The only reason I don't want to change my wheels is the color, they match the jeep already.

Yes wheel spacers would make it worse, may not rub in the same place but would rub in other areas
Wheel width is one common problem , 4 inch backspacing 7 inches wide works pretty good, 8 inch wide 4 inch backspacing rubs which was/is Teds issue

Any rubbing is bad, even at full flex.Plastic can damage your tires pretty easily.

I have zero rubbing anywhere and I'm running 35" tires, even at full flex which by the nature of long arms and the SFA is far more then your KK has by alot,I have to run limiting straps in the front as I have to much flex.

I don't plan on it rubbing at all. I just wanted to purchase the tires I wanted once instead of 245's then wishing I had a little larger. I remember running 35" tires without rubbing. Then I bought a liberty :/

Dude! There's no way he can drive that thing without MAJOR rubbing and hell lose his fender flares the first real bump he hits :ROTFL:
I'd love to put 33's on but I like to go off road.
It does look sick though. He should add two more inches to his lift and some longer bump stops, do a little trimming, maybe remove the inner fenders then it might work.
Look for bobblemochie(?). He lives in Canada, you should see what he did to fit 33's. I'll look for the link in a bit.

Why I have a Liberty and run 35" tires, just takes a little more work  which makes it all so more fun when you gotta work at it instead of order from a catalog.

Yeah gears are on the way. I was going to regear tax time but my motorcycle was recently stolen and I just found out gap will not cover the difference. Now I'm stuck paying that out of pocket. All my mods just got pushed back. If money wasn't an issue though it wouldn't have a daystar I promise you that.

The tires look great, but what kind of mileage on the highway did you get before? I get 21-22 ('10 Renegade), I'd hate to drop to 17-18.

And are you telling us what your computer says the mpg's are? This would be off because of the new tires, correct?

IF you regear like you should
then mileage will be brought back to what it was before or close to what it was
Without regearing you'll have loss of mileage, trans always shifting trying to find the right gear, will run hotter etc

... waiting for my warranty to expire. :)

In my case. Never. Lifetime on drive and power train. Maybe I should just bite the bullet, but about to get a 2in lift done at the local dealership. Owners son does them. Also said if I every had issues with eng/drive system, come back to them so they will take care of it under warranty. I did go with Hankook P255/65 16's from discount tire. Doubt I'll do any better in snow this year but they do great in mud. 8)

Be careful of what lift goes in. Daystars ride rough and RRO's bottom out. Jeepin by al has the best choices for us weather you get it from them or not, it's a good source for info. :2cents:

If I'm not mistaken or they have changed the kits, this dealer puts in old man EMU's. I'm just going with a 2inch. They say they don't put anything bigger on a KK.

Maybe we should educate them some as to how to do a real lift using of course OMEs
