I have been plagued with a P0101 code since this spring. If it's going to throw the code, it's ALWAYS 'on the coast', and never accelerating or on cruise. I refused to replace a #100.00 part just because of the code, since it was replaced a year ago as part of an ongoing warranty witch hunt. I also have the great SEGR installed, and I cleaned the MAF sensor over and over.

Now then, this fall, I decided it was time to have the timing belt replaced, along with all the other goodies that IDParts puts together. This was at 134500 Kilometers, well before the recommended 160K. I had the local Chrysler dealer do the work, and I supplied the parts. Their price for parts didn't come anywhere near IDParts. I asked that all the old parts be returned. The deed was done on Oct. 18, and to this day, there has NOT been a P0101 code, nor are any pending. I also notice that the exhaust tone has changed from before as well. I have a Magnaflow muffler so it's quite apparent. I had cleared the code right before taking it to the shop.

I can only "assume" that since the CEL always came on when I let off the accelerator, (if it was going to) and since I can't 'encourage' it to come on now, it has to be directly related to the replacement of the timing belt. Can anyone say, one way or another?

A lot of electrical plugs need to be unplugged and plugged back in. Sometimes unplugging and replugging the right plug can clear a code. When I had a shop, I fixed a lot of code crap by cleaning plugs and loose wires.
Another thing that could have cleared the code was having the battery disconnected for several hours.
If the Code is gone and stays that way, your in luck.

X2 if you pull a copy of the 06 FSM from Sir Sam's NOOB guide and take a look at the diagnostic steps for that code you will see there are a bunch of "air leak" type things in addition to a loose plug that can throw this code. The last 2 steps are 1) EGR stuck open which can be fixed by cleaning and 2) MAF replacement which is the last thing on the list.

Given the apparent "fix" I suspect you had an air leak somewhere in the system that was "fixed" when removed and reinstalled as part of the TB service.

Hopefully that's the case for the long term.
