The 18th Annual Jeep Fathers Day Show will be held at the Jeep Plant, 4400 Chrysler Drive, Toledo June 18th. Swap meet space is free, Show car parking starts at 9:00 A.M. Dash plaques, t-shirts to anyone that shows.
For information call Rockin Ron 419-693-2838 or Skeeter at 419-478-4759
I have heard for years that if you like Jeeps this is the place to be, every type you can think of. And of course the cool part, it is right where they build them, or at least the Liberty and Wranglers.
If anyone is interested I will find out more info. Its 15/20 minutes away for me so will go, anyone else interested?

What's the date? Any fee's to get in?

I'm about an hour from the OH/PA border on i-80, so depending on what's going on, and what gas prices are, i may be interested.

As far as I know it is free for everything. I will double check tonight and let every know. Its not a trail ride just a show. But every kind of Jeep ever made will be there, plus I guess of course Jeep themselves bring out some of their "new" toys sometimes.

Sorry been busy at work etc so will check tomorrow evening about everything. I want to see if we can maybe all park together , time the gates open, etc. I am about 8 miles away so maybe if possible I can get there early and save some places if they will let me. Will post then. See how many are coming and go from there. Of course we could all convoy in together just have to see will let you know tomorrow!

Talked to one of the guys that sits this thing up. Registration is from 8 to 11 show starts at 11 Costs nothing to enter the show, last year they had over 1200 vehicles and 30,000 people so pretty big event. When I said we may have a few Lifted L.O.S.T KJs there he said that was one thing they have not had as of yet (any Libertys with lift kits) so we can be first!
No saved spots, so if we want to park together we will have to get a meeting place and go in together, He did say the earlier the better as it gets pretty hectic about 10 or so.

So who all is in??

I'm seriously considering heading east forn this event.

I definitely would want to get our group to meet up ahead of time and go in as a caravan if possible. This is a big chance to gain our club some great exposure. I would probably go as far as making up some kind of display of photos and information as well.

I would probably drive out friday night and stay in a motel somewhere nearby. 4.5-5 hour drive each way in the same day with kids doesn't mix well, if you know what I mean.

Sounds like a good time. Count me in.

Pixeldzn, there's a La Quinta Inn that my wife and I stay at when we are visiting my family up there and it's pretty nice. The hotel is in Perrysburg which is about a 10 to 15 minute drive from where they'll be holding the Jeep event. The number for the hotel is 419-872-0000.

Wow this sounds like a sweet chance to show club recognition and get together. So where does everyone plan to meet? I may be able to come through. I am coming from Detroit, 1.5hrs max.

I guess whatever motel I am at might be a good meeting spot. Either that or a local favorite breakfast spot.

Anyone else coming from far enough that they will have to stay overnight?

UPDATE:

Looks like KJ-BOL might drive out with me as well.

I'll be at my folks farm about 15 min. from you Pixeldzn. There's LOTs of places on US20 (where you will be) to meet that morning. I could even check with my folks about a car wash party the day/night before if anyone wants to "wash up". I'd offer a run on the farm, but we don't have a lot of good spots :-( I'll check with my brother about where his friends go...

For those coming in from the south, Bowling Green may give you a better price, but you'll still have 15-20 min to meet up with Pixeldzn in the morning.

I live about 3 miles from I 475 off of Airport Highway, bunch of good hotels at that intersection, plus places to eat, not far away etc. I can only get about 4 vehicles in my driveway but can line them up and down the street if anyone wants to meet here.
Lots of good spots around this area to stay. My Liberty wash will also be going that morning if anyone interested. From my place its I think 10/11 miles depending which way you go up to the plant. Easiest way up is the interstate instead of trying to keep up with each other through town etc.

Now I have to try and get my lift and bumper done to mine this weekend

Since this sounds like a Sunday event, any good places to do a short run on your end of town on Saturday? I can't think of any in the BG/Fremont/Fostoria area other than the mile of river bank on/by my folks farm near BG, and two unmaintained dirt township roads...

I will try and find out but I am not aware of anything close here. I have only been up here in the Northwest for about a year, now if we were down in the Southeastern part of Ohio where I grew up there are all kinds of places

Come on over Stuhlie, not too bad of a run from where you are, hope some more from your way come over. If you run the turnpike over there ia an exit about 3 miles from my place. Doesnt matter if you are stock or not just all get together to show off the KJs
Also have to have to have pixeldzn bring over some L.O.S.T. stickers been meaning to send for some and have not yet so be a good chance to get those also.
You still planning to head this way pixeldzn?

I told my wife about this event and she might come along as well . So all lets pray for great sunny weather .
Tom when it gets closer to the time I'll need your address so we can hookup before with others. My drive will be about
2 hrs so I'll try to leave about 8:00 am to get there at a decent time . Let me know Tom
Thanks Dave
I forgot to ask about the FOOD there ? Should we bring a lunch or grill to cook on ! I have a sweet fold up little grill
that I could bring with us .
