Lift set up

Hey guys so ive been doing a little research and i was wondering if you can combine the 2 inch daystar with 2 rear skyjacker shocks, and front and rear old man emu springs? is this possible to do? and i figured if i got the springs it would give less stress on my jeep,

No. Way too much lift.

How would you go about the old man emu setup? what do i need for a complete lift and not spend a stupid amount of money?

Just springs, shocks, and bumpstops. Jeepinbyal.com has everything you need. You're lookin at about $700-$800 but well worth it.

And do you think this will last for a long time? like for years? i plan on holding onto my liberty forever, and the problem im having is trying to find someone to install it, and another thing, these schock, 927's i can order 4 and theyll be for front and back?

Im just totally lost as of exactly what i need for the lift, as in what shocks, what springs, what bumpstops, and how much it will lift it? this is dreadful to think about lol i just want to do this lift!! haha

Go to jeepinbyal
look under OME
look for KKs
get what you see , 4 springs/4 shocks
then add in bumpstops (Teraflex for the front )
its all there in black and white and even some colors ........ :wink:

Plus if you read the various lift threads it explains it all as well

as far as length, my first setup I took off after 100,000 miles

Ome is made by ARB, its good stuff and they stand by their products from my experience. 731 rears, 927s in the front. Make sure you get the 132L rear shocks. Just call or email an they'll get ya set up.

Install is pretty easy if you can turn wrenches and follow instructions. You'll need to take the oem front spring/shock assy to basically any shop and they should be able to compress it for for you and reassemble with the lift springs and new shocks.

Its going to give you about 2.5" o lift.

ok so it says 1.5 inch lift but you think you get 2.5? and what do you mean by bring the oem stuff to the shops? arent i replacing them with the OME new struts shocks and springs?

1.5 inches is /was is for insurance purposes in Australia
so yes you get more
What he is talking about is removing the original front setup, taking it to a shop to have them compress the springs and install the new springs and shocks
Much safer than a lot of those cheap compressors you can rent

ok kool but why would you bring the original setup when you have the new setup?

Yes because you keep the oem top plates and isolators and use them with the new springs and shocks.

New setup is only springs and shocks
as stated above you have to have the top mounting plate and the upper and lower isolator's
unless you want to buy new ones of course :wink:
