So i recently picked up a bluetooth OBD reader that can link to a smartphone. Figured i would give you guys a quick look at what im working with. On the droid IOS devices you would be able to run the Torque app. On Iphones, you either have to run Rev or DashCommand. The only problem with Iphones is the device wont let you use a bluetooth OBD reader without jailbreaking it and running Roqy Bluetooth. If you buy the wifi obd reader (minimum $100) you do not run into this problem. I picked up the bluetooth type for around $25. Nice thing is both of the apps allow me to reset my CEL, and read a pretty good ammount of PID's (parameter ID's) The only downfall i have is it has a 1-2 second delay and tends to time out after about 20-30 minutes but i believe thats because of my phone settings. On the 2.8CRD the Rev app allows me to read the following
Speed (kph or mph)
RPM
Torque (as long as all info is put in properly)
WHP (as long as all info is put in properly)
Acceleration G's (Lat and Fwd)
Boost PSI
Intake temp
MAF rate
Fuel Trim
Intake Manifold pressure
Fuel consumption (not very accurate)
Engine load
The app even reads your VIN
and my much needed favorite ECT (engine coolant temperature)

I have my phone in a dashmount setup. Here is a screenshot of my current guage layout while driving.

I have torque. Most obd software and hardware will lock up most of the time.
