I think some of the folks at peachparts have discussed Mercedes EGR deletes, and I have designed a circuit for ALH TDI engines. I realize you were just throwing it out there, but I did give notice as I do have some experience with other implementations.

Here is the updated list. Please let me know if you want to be added or removed. As it stands now, I have the minimum commitment and provided it stays solid I will put the kit together starting January 2013.

This week I will start capturing the schematic and building the parts list for the new edition of the SEGR.

I am open to suggestions for any changes. I will be increasing the resistance of the power resistor to 100 ohms per a previous request to reduce power. This will also allow me to make the PCB a little bigger, so it will be easier to fit everything and easier to mount in the box and assemble.

As soon as I have a parts list, I will post a kit price and get a count of who wants to DIY vs. who needs a built box. Stay tuned.

Message to anyone that is still running a CRD with a EGR. EGR use is slowly eating at your engine. Get a SEGR or GDE tune ASAP, before bad things happen. Rockers and or connecting rod failures are $$$$$$$!

I have laid out the PCB and completed the part list. It would be really great if I could get more than the 10 people currently signed up, as right now the printed circuit board is definitely the most costly part and is cheaper the more I order. 10 PCBs run $40 each, and 14 run $35 each. I will probably order a few more than 10 anyway as the additional cost will probably be worth it, but the basic kit total price looks like $120 right now with packing and shipping.

I am going to look for a different source for connectors, this is a big cost too. I might make a bypass plug optional; that alone will reduce the cost $6.

If I can get at least 2 more people I might be able to get the price to $100 shipped like the last run. This is for the bare DIY kit, I am fairly sure I can offer assembly, testing and a harness for $150 more, that is not impacted by the numbers like the kit is. Please give me some feedback, I'll finalize all this by Friday before I ask for funds.

I am ready to order the PCBs and parts for the kits. I will sell the kit of parts very close to my cost at $100 each ($104 PayPal), shipped in the lower 48 US States, actual shipping costs added to people in Canada, Hawaii and Alaska.

$250 ($260 PayPal) will get you the complete kit, built and tested with a harness included.

Both options will get a relevant set of build instructions. I will place the order as soon as I can get the funds; I should be able to ship 7 to 10 days after I place the orders. PM me for my Paypal and other contact information.
