A puller should not be needed. Usually there is some rust making it a PIA
Apply a little Kroil and tap lightly on the pulley around it's circumference while pulling on it with your hand.
I have applied light pressure with a little pry bar but be carefull as there isn't anything strong to pry on (aluminum)
MOST important tip I can give from experience is to cover the inside of the radiator with a piece of thick cardboard before trying to remove the pulley/balancer. When it pops loose it will crash into the radiator before you realize what happened
