Take the grille off. Lay it down on something that won't scratch it, inside of grille facing up towards you. Take the material you are using, and cut it larger than what you will be using. Have about 10-12 zipties. Start from one side of the grille with the zipties and place them toward the top and bottom of the grille. Cut excess material off. You want the material to be as tight as possible. Re-install.

Ok, so you did the screen door material behind the grill, not sandwiched between. That was what I meant. Any pics of yours?

I did not take before and after measurements. I believe somewhere around 2.5 before tires and then the little extra from the increased tire size.

My parents got me a Hi-lift Extreme for Christmas  . I was going to get one regardless so I have been planing on how to mount it.

I don't trust the stock roof rails, but I did pull on them with the jack and they seem pretty secure. I'm just nervous so I'm going to use Ifhoward's homebrew roofbars to tie my roof rails together to give me more lateral support, before I actually drive anywhere with it. I have a home made wire lock to detour theft at night if I'm traveling. I also got the tire lift buddy so I can lift from the tires, the handle keeper, and the tubular mount. It has been a Merry Chirstmas.

Then maybe I'll attach it to the cross bars instead. That way it has two rails holding its weight.

I have been looking into roof baskets. Any thoughts on what is out there right now? I want to mount a full spare and misc items like a jack.

I've abandoned the idea of carrying it on the single roof rack. Im going to mount it onto two cross bars. That should evenly distute the weight on both rails. It shouldnt be worse than adding a metal roof rack.

Do they make better aftermarket brakes? My BLD is destroying my pads and rotors. The sure fix would be lockers but thst is years away.

Rotated my tires. I never look forward to jacking the KK up. Tread wear looks fine, so hopefully it stays that way. I rotated exactly the way the manual says to, even though my mechanic father insisted I should do it differently. Sorry, Pops.

I used the OME HD front spring/MD rear springs and OME shocks and struts. Along with a .25" front top plate. I did not need any extra rear ISOs. It sits very level. My driveway is a slight hill so it looks lower in the rear. I also used jba control arms.

The duratracs made a HUGE difference. Really made the jeep look nice! They are awesome in the snow too. We just had our first snowfall.

Helped 05renny finally mount his receiver hitch, which in return gave me a rear tow hook for my KK. That is, until my receiver hitch and shackle come in the mail!

(Pun intended :jester: ) I drove to town twice today just to use the heated seats. Grocery store, then oops I need to go to the post office too! :JEEPIN:
