Notice the tire on the roof rack and the fog
lights on the rear of the rack (hard to see);
backing up at night in the middle of nowhere
can be hazardous.

:? Cool morning outside Yosemite...
Image
Word of caution...factory rails can't support rack,
tire, and weeks worth of heavy jarring. Ripped
mounts clean throught the roof on the rear...again!
Front mounts still intact luckily

 Rainy day in Southern Arizona...

"Ripped mounts clean throught the roof on the rear...again!"

Again?
So is your next mod going to be getting a rack that replaces the stock rails?

Best looking lift tire spacer combination I have seen so far.

Thanks all for the compliments. To answer a few of your questions:

Lift: 2.5" Rocky Road Outfitters Rockfather II (Replaced OTT 2.5" by same company). Heavy coils springs make a HUGE difference in handling. More Jeep like, less Toyota Camry like.
Wheel Spacers: 1.25" Spidertrax; although the EXCESIVE tire rub I get when I turn the steering to near max is annoying. 1” might be a better choice, or properly backspaced replacement wheels. I have cut a lot of plastic from inside the wheel wells, and pounded the spot welded seam over with a rubber mallet.
Tires size: 265/70R16; the full size spare was a waist though. In all the cactus, lava rock, and who knows what else I've traveled through or over, I've never had a flat. Talk about luck!

If anyone knows where to get aftermarket "roof rails" strong enough for my needs, I'd sure appreciated the info.

Actually my pics are out of date. I have more body damage, and plastic moldings have been gathering in my cargo area. :D

There are two options I know of for a stronger rack.

There was a dude on ebay who was custom making racks, but you still had to fab up the attachment points to get it hooked up where your stock rails go. Here's a link that goes over that. The guys email is in that thread.

The second option is to go to All J at boulderbars.com where they'll take a Con-Fer rack and fab it up and have it ready to go for you.

If you don't have access and skill with welding stuff, or are worried about doing a wrong angle and it not fitting, All J is the way to go. (it helps that they're super nice too)

A few more pics...

Why have fog lights on the back of your roof rack?

So this doesn't happen to you.

2nd set of 85w driving lights comming soon.

Had issues with K&N intake breaking while 4-wheeling.
Notice the 3" radiator hose and clamps...problem solved!
