"Pictures up 22 April 2013"

Long story, My 06 KJ limited is finally going to receive its first big purchase. So I just wanted to see if I am missing anything. It includes a complete lift and new tires. Sounded simple enough but there are so many little parts and pieces I didn't know existed. Is this everything I need for a "sound" lift?

Frankenlift II Premium Kit for GAS KJ:
Comes with pre-assembled front struts assemblies. Uses OME H/D Front Struts, OME927 H/D front Springs, Proprietory Poly parts, Strut Top Plates, All hardware needed; Rear OME948 H/D springs, OME132L Rear Long Travel Shocks and pair of rear extended bump stops. Plus, 1 Frankenlift Decal.

Als Upper A-Arms For Lifted Jeep Liberty's (JBA 4.5)

Moog brand grease able lower ball joints so the match the new uppers on the A arms

How much would it cost to have these things INSTALLED?

https://treadwright.com/p-76-255-75r17-guard-dog-c.aspx (mildly aggressive 32's)

Lift parts look good
depends on the area in which you live and dollar per hour charge for installation
Tires are too big though
Not only will they rub on the pinch weld ( easy fix ) but also on sway bar/front bumper
THEN when you have no power you'll need 1200-1400 to regear
Drop down a couple of sizes

Would 1 inch wheel spacers help with the problem? I didn't think 32's were really that big.

I tried using a few tire size calculator/conversion things I found on google and I'm trying to use my old rims that came with the jeep. The 17x7.5 inch aluminum ones.., would a 31 inch tire bee better? I have no idea what I am doing

30s-31s would work well
Problem with 32s is you're going to kill your power/mileage, using overdrive will almost be a thing of the past unless you have a lot of down hill runs
PLUS the treadwrights are heavy tires so more weight to pull around
Spacers will help some but its more the height and weight which is the killer

I'm just worried about 30's making me look like a bunch of circus bears in a clown car with a lift above it

I'd bet 80% of the lifted KJs / KKs at least run 245-75-16s
Guess what size they are? About 30-30.5 inches tall
Looks or the ability to drive it with out issues and still get acceptable mileage and have some power left

Here's my lifted Limited with 245-70-17 (a bit bigger than a 245/75/16...about .1 or .2 from a 31") Just thought since you have the 17" rims....

So cool! I know nothing about tires, so any 245/70/17 tires fits on my Limiteds 17x7.5in Rim?
I thought it would be more specific. I'll be getting the Kumho KL78 AT's in 245/70/17 it seems!

Does a Kumho KL78 in 245/75R17 at 31.7 inches matter that much compared to the same tire in 245/70R17 at 30.6 inches weighing 36 pounds? Or is it more harmful to put a tire that weighs 46 pounds Which the (KL78 245/75R17) tire does.

You're right back to a 32 inch tall tire and would need to regear :banghead:
Tire height and also weight
stick to a 30 inch or around that

Yes, you'll still lose some power and mileage but not as much as going to a 31.5-32 inch tall tire. Doesn't sound like a lot when saying an inch or so but it is in power etc

So a few days ago I ordered my first batch of new parts.
I'll put up pictures when things arrive and are installed.

Off the Jeepinbyal.com site I purchased the
OME 1.5 inch NS131 struts and N132L shocks with
the appropriate springs and new UCA's
Also from the JBA site I purchased Teraflex bumpstops
for the front and will do double hockey pucks for the rear.

An Aussie Locker brand locker for the rear

5 Kumho KL78's in 245/70R17 and 2 in
245/75R16 for the new offroad trailer I am
purchasing from an "old" (boss) army friend

Basic rock rails for rocky road
as well as some tail light guards
in black and 3 Mopar skids to start.

Pictures to follow once everything comes in the mail.

Looks good
would question the Aussie since have known of some to break with no real reason why
Also the RRO rock rails are really light duty, bend very easy
