CRD fixer upper in New Jersey

There is CRD near me with a bad engine. The transmission was redone 20000 miles ago, the body is in good shape with no dents, the interior needs cleaning. mileage is 180,000

The mechanic said the engine is shot but doesn't know exactly what is wrong with it.

P0303
P0563
P0204
P0203
P0202
P0201
P0069

The owner said that the engine runs but has a loud knock.

He is asking $1000 or Best offer.

If you have an engine available to throw in it then this one would be a great buy.

Craigs list post stated Jersey Shore....This location may be Jersey Shore, PA, a small town in central PA just off I-80.

i saw that the other day. i want to go take a look at it. its kind of depressing what a used crd engine goes for. if the engine is rebuildable, i wouldnt even know where to find the parts. i am interested though.

I replied the other day as soon as it posted, no reply. I emailed again so we will see. Too bad it is not Jersey Shore, pa as that is close to me. No matter, for that price ill drive to nj if the guy replies!

The rest of the parts are there to find a running motor and swap it in for a potentially cheap runner.

its in nj, they replied to all of my emails. you are right the parts are there but by the time you buy a 3500$ engine on ebay, ship it, do the timing belt... i still want to check it out, maybe today.
