Could someone please tell me what this line is called? It looks like an AC line but black oil leaked from it. Thanks, the picture is on my photobucket account since I cant figure out how to attach a picture on this forum.

I apologize, I had asked the same question in an older forum and wasnt sure anyone would see it. Why is it then that my engine oil was down a couple of quarts after pulling over and seeing this line spraying oil under pressure?

It was coming from the line, there was a hole in it

Probably just coincidence. Engine oil and ac are not connected. There is oil in the ac system, but it is a sealed system until it is compromised.

How fast did you lose the two quarts of oil? Any engine codes? Any change in performance. Any weird and unusual noices?
