Augh, again with this crap. I think it is the battery. The first Optima that has ever let me down. Drops to 8.2 volts as its trying to start.

Can't get the VAGCOM to clear codes either.

I concur, this is a good possibility, especially with those "short to ground" codes.

This has been the only thing that has given me a problem with my CRD, it only happened once....
(Not including, of course, the window regulators, motor mounts, delayed shift after overnight.... you know, those things).

Got a new battery. I charged the old one all night and it fired right up. So far do good.

What eventually fixed this issue? I just had thus happen to me while I was out hunting yesterday. I have pull a p700 code that I cannot erase with green diesel scanner. I do have a vagcom.
