Looks like it'll just be another jeep that never sees anything off the road.

I like sharper edges when it comes to vehicles, but it follows the Grand Cherokee into the curves. I'm not crazy about it and wouldn't buy one if i was in the market for another Jeep

As I said in the general discussion, there isn't enough fire in the world to kill this thing lol

Between the Grand Cherokee the new Compass and now this pretty soon they will all be the same car with different headlight options.

Damage control after the pics taken inside the plant got out on the internet.

It's nothing but a lie.

Ultimately, this *is* the vehicle they're going to release at the NYAS.

Just how they lied about the 2014 Grand Cherokee's headlamps not being production intent.

Ultimately its a body thing, my wife has this car already with a Hyundai emblem on it. But it could potentially have better off road capability than my 2012 jeep Liberty so I guess time will tell if this thing contains anything of Jeep style or if Jeep is changing its colors so to speak.

Not a fan of the headlights (Saw a photoshop someone put up with the headlights mashed together in the upper position and it looked real nice.) And REALLY not a fan of the "sneakermobile" look and CUVs in general.

Let's all be honest. EVERY SINGLE CUV that Chrysler has offered has been a market failure. Patriot, Compass, Journey, etc. All of them have been flops. I expect this one to follow suit.

The reason for this is simple: Jeep stands for rugged offroad capability, NOT mom-mobile CUV super-efficiency. You cannot have both in the same vehicle and Chrysler needs to stop wasting time and money trying.

The front end design does not seem to not take any sort of off-roading into consideration. The approach angle looks horrible, and it doesn't look like you can easily remove the bumper to add a new one, with out having to do some major cutting. I can't say I like the squinty headlights either. Even if it turns out to be a decent off roader, I'm still glad that this didn't take the Liberty name. However, I think this does great injustice to the XJ Cherokee name. I bet the XJ owners are ticked off  .

I wonder if they're going to get rid of either or both of the MK platforms (Patriot/Compass). They don't need 3 small crossovers. and no mid size SUV.

Didn't even bother looking at the front bumper, but now that you mention it, it seems like you need to take off the whole front fascia...

I hope this isn't in response to the thread itself and if it is I assure you that this was more or less supposed to be a discussion thread on the new jeep on the block. I personally was a bit upset and opinionated but hey, its a new jeep we'll see what they do with it.

I'm pretty sure it's about the "Cherokee". The thread is pretty on topic and not offending....well aside from that so called "Jeep". I think he would have deleted the topic by now if that was the case lol

The thread itself fine. And in true LOST form, I'm sure a KL section will be opened since we accept ALL Jeeps.

My post reflected my personal feelings to the new KL as of right now. From what I have seen, it is just a larger Compass/Patriot that will most likely use the same front wheel drive set up to achieve the 45% better gas mileage rating over the current KK.
