I think these jeeps are also well described as an Italian Mistress. She can be pretty and a lot of fun when she is happy... But DAMNIT they are demanding and expensive to keep happy. Moody and temperamental is a perfect description. Apparently people who own other rare Italian cars (think Ferrari) are in a similar situation.

Makes me wonder what the experience would be like for anyone buying into a Fiat Chrysler. I'm not insane enough to take one of those on, and much luck to anyone that does.

well to give you a update after changing the time belt and checking the timing the problem still existed. so i tour into her and found the needle bearings in all the rocker were shot one even ceased up. so after timing belt, tensioner, idle pulleys inside and out, water pump, thermostat, mass air, belt, rockers ,provent, samco hoses, had the injectors cleaned and new washers and o-rings ,new trans dipstick tube, electric fan and gaskets shes running like a brand new rig  . still to come shift kit, lift pump and GDE tune in the next month or so. so after all that the cams looked good and no obvious metal on the head i gave it a oil wash down. just for prevention i installed a magnet in the oil plug and put a ring magnet in the filter put some fresh oil down her pipe going to change it again in a week to check the magnets. i still have the old filter i'm going to cut it open see whats inside. fingers crossed i guess only true test is time itself. here is a pic of the old and new rockers sorry about the quality of the old rockers pic my old htc evo new rocker new htc one night and day difference
