Noticed the first CRD I've ever seen in my area (besides mine) today on the freeway entrance ramp to Hwy 285 from Ashford-Dunwoody road, a khaki color Sport model. I would have waved but was driving my black Camaro SS and didn't want the guy to think I was a nut case

When I was in Atlanta for a month last July-August, I spotted 2! Guess some are luckier than others. I did post them to this thread.

Saw a Kahki CRD at the I-95/I-495 split at the PA/DE line around 2:15 today. It was pulling a trailer with a green (MG??) on it. The Jeep had MD plates and was headed South. I was in my S10, so I figured waiving would only make me look nuts.

You ever find yourself looking at the back passenger corner of a liberty and hoping, just hoping, you'll see CRD instead of that disgusting 3.7 ?

Then you sigh in disgust....

I just wondered if I was the only one.

LOL....yes! Every Liberty I see I have to check. :ROTFL: I have actually seen 2 in my area in this past week. I saw the one in the pic I posted asking if it belonged to anyone around the Raleigh/Cary area in NC. I was on I-40 west on the edge of Raleigh and saw another grey-ish CRD limited. Pretty cool.

We are a lonely Lot in a vehicle that we love to drive, biting our fingers while hoping that it stays together.

Last week, on monday 11 MAR 20013, I saw a silver limited heading south on I-95, just north of West Palm Beach.

Yep... Done it for years, not just with CRD... But when I had TDI's as well. Even my wife does this. I taught her well evidently...

I'm not sure what part of town you live in, but I've been in dunwoody (live and work) for 10 years and I've had my silver 2005 limited since early 2006. I'm in that area a LOT :)

In reply to - joelukex4,

Was it Red? or more of the darker red the Inferno Red I think jeep calls it? Very good possibility that was me as at that same time i was driving to St Paul.

Not the only one, I do it too. Even still doing it since I got out of my CRD... And I STILL have only ever seen 3 in the wild - 2 were parked in Savannah and one in Charleston on the road.

I still do it for TDIs too, and of course I see a lot more of those. The percentage of TDIs seems to be a LOT higher (against other VWs) these days, versus what it was when I bought my 01 Jetta. This is a good thing for all of us - more diesels on the road.

I live about 2 miles north of Peachtree Industrial and Tilly Mill in the recently annexed area of Dunwoody. Bought my silver 2005 CRD sport December 2012. Bet we're almost neighbors!
