My dash lights seem to be one off. When I place it in 2wd, the "part-time" light comes on. When I pull it bact to "part-time", "full time" lights up. And, placing it in "full-time" no light is on, as if it thinks it is in neutral. I have run throught the modes several times, restarted the engine, ect,. Nothing seems to work. Anyone else have this problem?

Sounds like the transfer case position sensor is malfunctioning or damaged. The dash lights are displayed based on the current from that sensor:
SENSOR POSITION OPERATING MODE SENSOR RESISTANCE (ohms)
1 2WD 1124-1243
2 4WD PART TIME 650-719
3 4WD FULL TIME 389-431
4 NEUTRAL 199-221
5 4WD LOW 57-64

I might be looking at the wrong t-case, but the sensor is on the top side of the t-case, just inboard and above the output shaft that goes to the front differential. I think it works based on a spring-loaded plunger that is moved in or out of the sensor body by something actuating inside the case. If it's loose, tightening it might fix the problem. First, I'd call the dealer, though. That should be under the powertrain warranty.

Try this viewtopic.php?f=3&t=59788 It's a link to an 02-04 post but should be the same for 05-06 or close enough.

When ours did that, it was the sensor. Get on some dirt and confirm it is in the correct 4x4 mode as referenced by the level. If so, sensor. Not hard to replace.
