And the final assembly and left the air deflector off, wish I'd known it was so easy to take off

When are you going to put those 927s on? You've had them like 6 months! :juggle:

Yeah Yeah I know. It just started warming up here again so hopefully soon. Going to run them with a Daystar spacer in the back that I got from Muscle. I just want a little more stance. Maybe run 245 70 16.

Ordered a Firestik SS204 mount so I can put my antenna (2') right above my taillight!

And currently painting my MD Firestik spring black, this warm weather got me back into Jeep modding fever

^^Nice!! If that's anything like the Rigid Industries Dually's that we just installed on my buddy's XJ, you'll doo doo your pants at how much light comes out from that thing. I was AHH-MAZED at the light output from those tiny Duallys.

Finally I had the time to make a bumper for myself. Put on a single leaned hoop and I think I like it. Might become a bolt on option for other bumpers.

AtTheHelm, your bumper looks really classy with the hoop on it. Awesome, plain and simple. I really like it.

I've got a quick question for you about installing your bumper. What do you do about the side marker lights from the original KK bumper? Do you just cut off the wire harness and tape it up? Have you thought of a way to integrate them into your design? Of course one of the best features of your bumper is the simple elegance of it.

What I did to my KK today was to drive over a screw and puncture one of my tires. I brought the tire to the local garage to get it patched. Until it's fixed I'm running my full sized spare, which is one of my original Goodyear SRA's on a semi-rusty KJ steel rim. Looks classy next to the Cooper A/T3's. :ROTFL:

Blew some cob webs out. Brought the RPMS up to 4500 a few times in the lower gears. First time I've ever done it, so I might do it for the next few fill ups hopefully seeing good results. Also cleaned and re-oiled my K&N.

Just tape off the pigtail. I never really saw the need for those side maker lights. The turn signals stay lit while the headlights are on and they are visible from the side. If someone wanted to run side markers with my bumper though, its an easy fix with these little grommet leds, just drill an 11/16" hole in the side of the bumper and splice wiring.

I got my punctured tire repaired at a local shop, and then rotated all the tires as I put it back on. I did the tire rotation in a large parking lot using my floor jack. It was fun when people drove by with quizzical looks, probably thinking "Do you need help?" Or "What is he doing?" If they had asked me, I would say I just saved $40. :goink: And it was a beautiful day and I just got to spend an hour outdoors.

Mounted my CB antenna above the taillight, it's officially "my" Jeep :-)r

Image

Went to put my taillight guards back on and they weren't fitting right and chewed up the side of my tailgate (down to bare metal) :x gotta spend some time today or tomorrow to get them to fit again
