Hi Guys,

My Liberty now has 185000km's (112000miles)

I have today replaced the clutch plate, pressure plate, release bearing and dual mass flywheel. Well, not me but an independent Indy - I vowed never to do a transmission again - lousy job to say the least

I should be on the road again on Fri sometime.

The clutch plate itself looks ok - it is worn and could do a few more miles and has one loose spring. The flywheel has quite a lot of movement

At what mileage has anyone here replaces the flywheel etc.... And darn, it aint cheap, especially when converted to South Africa Rand

We were not lucky enough to get the Manual Transmissions here in the US, and I can't think of anyone that's had any issues with the flywheel, but I could be mistaken.

I would love to have a manual transmission on this diesel, would make it even more pleasureable to drive.
