Can't figure out what this is

I have had the liberty for two years now and can't figure out what this is its located in the trunk in the passenger side behind the seat close to it any ideas

I have nothing like that in either of my KJ's, on/in or below the carpet.
Looks to me like a squished grape or berry.

It's a piece of metel rod sticking through the carpet ill see if I can get a better pick

Yup only one and it come through the carpet and snags everything

It looks like it was installed from the inside.(I just crawled under mine to see where it might be underneath and it looks to be inside the frame )
It must be some sort of mount or tiedown that broke off.
Just cut the bolt off flush and forget about it.
