I need some advice on the wiring guys.

If I find a place where the wiring is damaged I will just try and splice it.

If I don't find any damage though, I have no idea what meters you guys are talking about.

Been there done that....Buy a new wiring harness and plug from the dealer and call it a day.

Do you have the part number for that by chance? Or was the parts department that good they found it for you?

I have a 07 and changed the wiring on the two rear sensors... does anyone know the polarity of the wires? it's indicated on the sensors but I need to know about the wires from the vehicle...

Ah I wish I had more time and know how to fix this stuff. I'm trying to get a new vehicle ASAP.

I just feel that nobody is actually going to buy my car with a broken odometer (and noisy alternator clutch...), so I HAVE to fix it somehow. Even though it really hasn't been going on long, I can't blame someone for not believing me. IT just seems suspicious.

Can anyone help point me in the direction of where to get the new parts (wiring and connector)?

I really want to get this done. I have no idea how to check the continuity of a wire you guys were talking about, and I'm almost certain that it is the wiring near the sensor itself. I wouldn't mind splicing a new one in and seeing if it works.

After doing some more research it seems that the right parts number is 05013995AA. It took forever to find one in stock but so far this is the only one I have found. Sadly it has no picture or description. Any thoughts?

Check the front sensor wires, too. They tend to get loose from moorings and start to rub on frame, causing the same symptoms.

Believe me....... the replacement wire and connector does the trick.

But you can't mix up the wires when you replace them.

If the ABS light doesn't go out on the first attempt, swap the wires and try again.

I want to buy the replacement but I can't find a link that actually shows a description of it. all of them seem to be very old links that are no longer for sale.

Does anyone know where they are selling these?

Go to the dealer.... the parts department can help with the part number, it's a 15 dollar item.

Since you can't see where the splice is, cut the old harness as far back as the new harness is long, this is to make sure that the area where the wire is split is removed.

For anyone else interested in getting the wiring...it was as simple as that. I gave them the parts number and they had it in stock. It was actually $29 though...but oh well.

Of course my only day off to work on it and its raining.

Well I tried it and it did not work. :banghead:

I cut the old wiring pretty far up and I spliced the new wire. I spliced them together. All I did was twist them so they were touching, as I wanted to be able to undo it easily if it didn't work. Then the pins were inserted into the hub and I connected the hub to the [new] sensor.

I drove the car around the block and nothing changed. I came back and switched the pins in the hub in case I had it the wrong way. I started it up drove around the block again and nothing changed.m

I'm thinking either I didn't drive around enough, or I should try to splice it back even further (I still have some more room I could go. Twisting the wires together should work to conduct the current properly, or am I wrong?

Any suggestions?

Have you opened up your diff? If the tone ring is fouled it could cause this. Next would be to check continuity for the wiring at the abs box (need wiring diagram)
