Can you guys suggest a replacement ac condenser mine is cracked.
I checked with the dealer and diesel calls for a different part # than the gas and double the price. Most of the aftermarket show that they fit both motors but I am not so sure.
Thanks

For CRDs with an automatic transmission the AC condenser contains the transmission cooler in the bottom and it's PN 5183561AA (condenser with TOC - presumably transmission oil cooler) and that can be obtained online for about $290 plus shipping. For CRDs with a manual transmission (export only) and gasser KJs the AC condenser is PN 5183560AA and that can be obtained online for about $145 plus shipping. NOTE I don't know for sure but I'll bet a decent 6 pack that the KJ gasser transmission cooler is in the bottom of the radiator which is the more normal location.

What to do?
1. if the crack in you AC condenser only impacts the tranny cooler portion I'd recommend just installing an aftermarket tranny cooler (search the Love that torque portion of the forum using the word "cooler" and my user name for a recent post with 4 aftermarket cooler install options) and keep your current AC condenser
2. if not 1 either get the condenser with TOC or the one without. I assume both condensers mount the same way, they should, so either should install with no problem. BUT of course if you get the condenser without the TOC you will need to install an aftermarket tranny cooler.
If 2 whichever way you go is pretty much your call.

.

I'll take that 6 pack. The transmission cooler is a separate item altogether that sits in front of the condenser on my '05 gasser.
