So I finally got my torque converter installed and got everything back together. Let me back up a little. I had some slippage and a rare grabbing and stalling at low RPM when initially shifting into D or R. Or when the trans downshifted to first at low RPM (like foot off the go pedal when rolling up to a stop sign). The grab only happened about 3 times over several weeks just prior to me parking the thing until I could get enough cash for parts and then to find the time to do the job. I assumed that the grabbing issue was also linked to the TC. Apparently not! It's worse now because between the shift kit and the euro TC there is very positive engagement. So what now? I didn't replace the pump when I had the trans out but did all the filters, the shift kit and the new TC. The fluid was clear and but had a very small amount of black particles in it when I drained it prior to dropping the trans. I mean barely a noticeable amount. I really don't know where to go next. Any ideas would be helpful. I don't have a ton of experience working on the insides of an auto trans.
