Hmmm I wonder if something could be done to make this work in favor of sky slider users somehow.

I don't know man, I'd really have to have one here in person to find out. I have a feeling it would end up being really high up or just not be able to open the slider. Also the fully welded racks cannot be shipped via ups, they are a few inches past their size limit. There's always freight shipping, but iirc it was around $500 just for shipping.
Shipping a the modular rack I designed is like $50.

No biggie. I'm just wondering what I'm gonna do when/if I acquire a kayak or canoe.

Just a suggestion since Gageraid brought it up... Idk about the rack, but the light bar might work. Depending on the lights you get, there might be enough room to clear the top even while opening(to the rear atleast). I'm gonna take a look at mine opening when it's not raining and see how it goes. Then it's just a matter of getting Atthehelm a KK with a skyslider to be the guinea pig and him to get measurements.

They're ordering a new ring and pinion and master rebuild kit. Gonna install a new set of gears and bearings in the rear axle, hopefully properly this time. I'm very happy that they're doing the right thing.

I've been killing time at the 4Wheel Parts store in parma waiting for the reinstall of my rear ring and pinion. The mechanic showed me my old CV and the CV's themselves are ok. The intermediate shaft failed inside the axle and won't come apart. This has been bad since about 12,000 miles and I couldn't get the dealer to touch it. Glad I called that one, I had all the parts to fix it. The ring and pinion looks great. This guy actually checked his work with that yellow stuff to see where the gears make contact, dead center :pepper: hopefully, the front is ok.

Ended up going to OK 4WD in Stewartsville. Got so many referrals to the place that I went to them, super awesome 4x4 store and shop and they have some amazing projects. I'm going to get some pics when I go to pick up my libby today

Sipped the cool-aid and went with the lift, and the only thing that bugs me is that I waited a year and a half to do it! Rides as nice as any car I've driven!

Achieved 3" in both front and rear, I know it needs to settle but it's awesome
