Maybe we should be looking into the TSBs for the diesel Sprinter Vans for relative information on a similiar diesel system to ours. Check these out:

Bio-diesel TSB:

Diesel Engine Systems Diagnostice (oil in "air intake" = normal, due to ccv is stated):

Diesel Turbo Diagnostics (oil in "air inlet" again, due to ccv is stated):

One of the problems with the actuator is if not flexed enough it has had a tendency to have crossion problem and can restrict movement. Saw a lot of this on the VW's, but they were vacuum actuated and could be freed up and work properly, ours may be electrical like on the Sprinter and if actuator movement is restricted when full boost is called for the motor will probably burn out.

Nice thing about electronic control is blades opening almost instantly compared to vacuum actuation.

Well the biodiesel one is irrelevant, as the CRD ships from the factory with 5% which is 3% higher than that TSB.

:)
