I had a friend of a friend replace the drivers side CV axle and my lower ball joints this weekend. When I got the car back there were four lights on, on the dash. The ABS, BRAKE, ESP/BAS and little ESP sliding car lights are all on. Would this because he forgot to hook up one of the brake sensors (or it's loose or broken)? I was surprised he didn't mention it when I picked the car back up. I thought maybe the computer just didn't like it because they were disconnected so I removed the negative battery cable to try and reset it. Well, they are still lit up.

Sounds like he may of either broken the ABS wire or disconnected it
Look under and see if you see any wires hanging etc

Since this thread is more on the topic than my thread on the intermediate shaft http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=76051, I decided to put the current information in here.

All of my mechanical problems appear to be fixed but now I still have the ABS, ESP/BAS and little ESP sliding car (the one that comes on when you turn ESP off) lights all on in my car. When I installed the passenger side ABS/Speed sensor from Auto Zone the Brake light went out and has stayed out. Well yesterday we finally got around to fixing the rest of the problems including replacing the drivers side ABS/Speed sensor and the aforementioned lights are still on (Brake light is still off...or working correctly).

Do I need to have the codes cleared? Would it have anything to do with sensors in the back of the car? Anyone know of a good OBDII program you can use to scan for trouble codes that include ABS? Torque Pro is not showing any faults when I connect my ELM 327. I was hoping maybe there was something for the computer that will allow me to reset the ABS faults and see if that's all it needs or at least tell me where the fault is.

Well I had AutoZone scan my car and reset faults (they don't normally do that) and we still had one fault left over in the front left abs sensor circuit. Now I need to figure out if it's a problem with the sensor itself or something else. Could I be lucky enough to find that the ABS sensors on each wheel have their own fuse that needs replaced? I'll be looking into that as well as attempted to test the sensor with a multimeter. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Did some testing trying to determine the ABS problem today and then ended up taking a chance and having Auto Zone replace the sensor (lifetime warranty). The new sensor worked! I looked really closely at the first sensor they gave me and then looked at the new one and they looked different. Anyway, that whole debacle is over. Time for the fluid change.
