Changing the flow control valve and filters in card today. How much fluid will drain out I don't know.

Remember to replace anti-drainback valve. The amount of fluid that comes out has to do with how long you let it drain. Power flushing is asking for trouble. "Full" (with motor NOT running) is about two inches above the "full" mark after running and shifting into gear.

Do you have more info on this anti drainback valve?

Just look in the parts book by the two filters. Sorry, do not have part number handy.

Is it part of the spin on filter?

Got it done. The transmission works great now.

Part number: 04799681 Flow Control valve. I paid $7.10 for mine from a Jeep dealer.

The manual calls the anti-drain back valve the flow control valve.

Changing the two filters and the Flow control valve fixed my slow engagement of the transmission after the jeep set awhile.

The part is located under the sump filter and next to the spin on filter. The fluid has to be drained to access all of these parts.
