Ok, not selling the CRD here, just talking about it here, looking for comments.
Some might know that I posted it here for $5,000 but removed it before anyone bought it.
So, the windshield was replaced at no cost by insurance, registered it ($177 here in Maine) and will get it inspected tomorrow to be sure it is safe to drive.
Ordered a new grill as the old one was cracked when I backed into it with the plow truck, $85.
Now cleaning is gonna be a pain, dog slobber, dog hair, seats are worn, may get seat-covers.
I would have sold it for $5,000 but now dunno, depends how well it cleans it up.
Ain't running a museum, wanna buy a pickup, thinking Craigslist, probably going to find a kid to post some pics for me.
Ideas?

Glad it was inspected. Upper A arm ball joints are bad, Moog replacements for the jeepin by Al's upper a arms on order. Also the rear upper bushings are bad.
Otherwise looks good he said.
The grill came yesterday, next day delivery, wow! $85 or $89, a deal. Not sure if I should paint it, black looks good on the red, mmmmm, maybe should paint it.
Boys, I sure do like this vehicle.
Gonna spend some money on detailing the interior.

I replaced my cloth seats with leather ones from a donor vehicle and have been very happy ever since.

$200 out the door and it made a world of difference.

Great idea, thanks.
The more this rig gets spiffy, the harder it gets to sell.

racertracer..I did the same thing but all the seats were replaced with leather. $200 also. The stock seats in the sport are the worse seat i have ever had. My 1971 CJ had better seats.
