The HD/MD springs make for a pretty stiff ride especially with all the sand rails making whoops (moguls) all over the place. Over some larger bumps the front suspension would fully extend and it was sounding like the shocks were topping out hard because of the force from the HD coils. All in all though, if I wasn't driving like an a-hole over the whoops, it really handled great

That banging noise was most likely your upper control arms hitting the springs.
How's that larger throttle body working?

That's what I thought it sounded like too but I have Al's arms. Aren't they supposed to fix that issue? Theoretically if the a arm isn't hitting the spring, what is the limit for downtravel on our suspension up front? And in the rear for that matter.

The throttle body is really nice. Once the PCM re-calibrated itself after the install I noticed the performance improvements more. It almost feels like when I first installed the Hypertech tune. Not quite as much performance increase, but still pretty noticeable.

Al's arms still hit at full droop. You could try clocking your springs but it's kind of a pita. As far as limits up front go, I think the control arm pocket is it. If you've beaten than down then the downward travel of the shock is probably it but I can't say for sure.

Are the hypertech's still messing up when calibrating the speedometer/gears?

Maybe I'll try clocking when I install my top plates (which should only make it worse).

The Hypertech does give me issues when changing tire size from the stock size to 30" (255/65R17). It really is only off by a couple MPH at 60MPH so I'm really not worried about it. I'll be getting new Duratrac 245/70R17 (30.5") within the next few months and will try to re-calibrate with the Hypertech and see if it works then.

Top plates definitely make it worse. I hear the clunk when hitting large bumps at speeds. Even going over train tracks I hear it every now and then. Haven't had too much time to check it out, but I'm 99% sure it's the a-arms hitting the springs.

I don't think you can link pictures from a secure server like your aol mail inbox... Upload it to Picasa or Photobucket or something and then try again

I just picked up a pristine 08 aluminum rim from a junkyard for my 5th wheel. It came with a tire pressure sensor attached! Does anyone know if the Jeep's computer needs to be re-flashed at the dealership to be able to run 5 TPMS's instead of 4? (My KK did not come with a full-sized spare from the factory.)

Is that stock suspension? Yikes

Edit: Also, why do you have the white lettering on your tires on the outside in the front and not on the back?
