SelecTrac. But I'm in 4Low the entire time so in that aspect both are the same. But I managed to overheat my Tranny again on that hill. I guess I need to get a heavy duty Transmission cooler.

Thanks for clarifying. I feel like I've read 2 or 3 people recently overheating their transmission on the KK. Do you occasionally open your hood at all to let it cool down during wheeling?

No. If I'm still in the middle of an obstacle, like last on my last run, I Turn the heater on and request to be winched up. If there is are people behind me attempting the obstacle I just shut it off get out and watch. By the time I get back its good to go. It didn't over heat on me again that day. That hill was just ruff. I was floored in 4low for quite some time on it. The two other times I over heated were in the mountains of Colorado, and one of those times I was in 2wd (not low gear). I'd like to think that when I re-gear it will help too.

Regearing will help a lot. Do you have the mechanical fan?

I forgot about that. It was pretty much an experiment to see if I liked it. I didn't even take a pic of it

Took the fake vents off the fenders. Looks really good without them. I'll get some pictures up later. Also took my front wind deflector off so I could clean and inspect the area underneath.

Yeah I dunno... I'm not sure how you can say that it looks much better without them. I actually really like them

I like functional things. These aren't. I first contemplated painting them a cool color, but I'm digging this. If anyone wants to know, these pop right out. Took 5 minutes.

I agree this is pretty cool. Haters gonna hate lol jk huntb. My liberty is grey so I don't think it would matter if I kept them or took them off.

I agree. nonfunctional thing annoy me. I just wonder why jeep couldn't just spend the extra .01$ and putt a real vent in. Instead of wasting money on a fake plastic vent.

Gageraid, is there any chance of making that spot into a real vent that will let heat out from under the hood?

I thought about trying to pipe a snorkel through there. You think it's too much constriction?

I will double check when I leave to go to work soon. I doubt it would work.
