I've been debating over whether to go with 245/70/R16's or 255/70/R16's on my Renegade's stock suspension with Bridgestone Dueller REVOs... I decided I'm going with 245 because I don't plan on getting a lift and I don't want to chance any rubbing. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone's got pictures of 245/70/R16's on a stock suspension... I know they're out there, I just haven't seen 'em yet. Preferrably with REVOs... but any brand would give me a good idea of how they look... thanks!

Good choice.

http://www.thefergusons.us/kj/kj.htm

The large pic and the pic 3rd from the left is stock with some contortion.

The other pics are with a 1.5" front and 2" rear prelow. Rubbing was no major problem, it does open up and say ahh much better with the lift.

Thanks everyone... much appreciated! They do look great, and I especially like the canoe.

A side note... I've read a lot different forums and this group seems to be the friendliest and most helpful out there... thanks again

I have that exact size on mine, without lift and on stock rims.

I noticed a lot of those pics are on 2002's. Are any of you running 245/70R16 on 2003 or newer vehicles? Will I have any difficulties with this size tire in a BFG AT on my 2006 renegade without a list?

Will a 245/75/16 fit on a stock 2002 4x4? If not will they fit with say a rockfather stage 1?

Splinky,

Do your 255 M/T's rub at all on stock suspension? What year is your black Liberty? Looks nice!

Looks like Splinky's KJ is an '02... which means he's got an inch more than my stock suspension

...those 255s are awful tempting, though

My KJ is ´02. Front tires rub only at full turns and that rub is almost unnoticeable.
I have to say: I love these tires! :)

Thanks for the information. Because I have the stock suspension, I'll probably choose the smaller 235/70R16 just to be safe. I don't have any plans to install a lift kit in the near future, but even if I eventually install the smallest Rusty's lift, 235's won't look too tiny on my KJ. I'm torn between the BF Goodrich Mud-Terrains and the Firestone Destination M/T.

235 is the safest choice, but I think 245/70R16 would also be fine. I had 245's with this car when I bought it and they didn't rub at all.
If you decide to buy BFG MT's, you won't be disappointed.

I have 245/75R 16's on stock 2002 suspension and wheels. I had minimal rub at first when I would do a full turn. I'm getting ready to get new tires and will probably get 245/70R BFG's.

Did I read that right? You have 245/75R16's on a stock suspension? Or do you mean 245/70R16? I guess it works with the extra inch of lift.

The more I think about putting 255/70/R16's on my stock '05 Renny, the more I'm tempted... sounds like there's minimal rubbing.
