I've noticed a noise that sounds exactly like pinging. Has anyone else noticed this? It sounds like a can of ball bearings shaking around in the engine compartment :?:

2.8 liters of diesel burning pinging machine. Sounds like normal noises to me.

That's just the little monkey under the hood with a hammer. Try a little biodiesel blend, will take the edge off the knock.

So I'm not the only one that noticed it. Doesn't this mean that the injection timing is off?

Your not hearing things. Noticed it right after they did the reflash, sounds like they may have advanced the timing or adjusted the injection pulse. Thought it might be the dino diesel I put in before taking it to the dealer.
