The Econo lift wasn't designed for 32s and really not 33s on the KK
KJs are a little bit less constrictive as far as the space we all have to work with.
I hope the poster above just installed the 33s as a joke if not good luck to him

I almost did that with my father in law's tires and rims off his tj lol

Larry wants to rotate his 33s from the XJ someday
May have to side track his for a photo op I think I could "almost" pull it off going straight :ROTFL: Turning would be the issue on mine, height wise I'm good i think

You'd have to do the pinch welds and use different rims to change the backspace. I don't know what backspace would be necessary but stock won't work.
Regear would definatly be necessary. 4.10's might be ok but 4.56's would be much better.
4" lift would probably do it.
You could run 32's but it'll be a lot of work and money.
When you regear would be the time to put in some kind of locker or limited slip. There won't be any extra labor while it's apart.

Yeah, I just pounded down the pinch welds last week and have rims with 4" backspacing, though they're 16x8s. Even with 245/75r16s, I'm already looking at regearing, just trying to decide now whether its worth it to add in lockers ($2,000+) or LSD (~$1000) while they're in there, and whether I'll be going bigger in the future, and thus whether to go with 4.10 or 4.56.

That's my biggest holdup, I just am not sure whether an additional 2" of lift and ~1" of tire is worth the ~$3500 for JBA's coilovers (of course I'll also get a better ride and flex). Nearly $1000 an inch is hard to justify. But boy would it look good...

The ride is defiantly good for sure. I couldn't believe the difference and I thought mine rode great before with the OME setup. But yes it does cost to go that route for sure.

Sold my stock wheels and tires this weekend and was pleasantly surprised with the KKs cargo capacity. With only two of the tires aired down and the single section of the backseat down, I was able to fit all four wheels with mounted tires in the trunk, and with room to spare.

Before closing the trunk:

Mredmund, that's awesome you were able to get a few bucks for the tires! I love how much you're able to fit back there. It holds my bike no problem. A little awkward, but gets the job done. Love your interior, too. I' don't have the leather.

Yeah, I actually was quite surprised by how many folks with KJs I got calls from that wanted them. I was able to bring in $500 for the set only a few days after putting them on Craigslist, which was a nice little addition to my regear fund. :pepper:

The space really is great. My friend with a CRV always tries to tell me how much better designed his car is than mine, but I know he could never have fit those wheels in his. Though, I am looking at getting a hitch mounted bike rack because its a little too awkward for me to get my mountain bike in and out of the back with the seats up.

I never thought I would get a car with leather, but I have absolutely fallen in love with it now that I have it. And I especially love that I was able to get it without paying the premium for a Limited! The black on black on black definitely has a great look to it.

I installed my awning before the summer and loved it...It been through a lot...and it help up pretty well as long as I tie it down.
Image
The setup was easy on mud but when I try to set it up on the beach...It just went flying...so I was thinking what I can to do to reduce the setup step but still make it stable enough to use it...I figured it out! My roof rack!! I went to home depot and got a long PVC pipe that will fit the pole. I mount it to roof rack...Now, I just need to insert the pole to the pvc pipe and pull out the awning without attached it to anything...
I have the prototype for now and I will do a full testing at my work parking lot tomorrow.

Here is the picture...
Image
I will update with the final picture of the awning...

It's pretty easy if you have a drill and tap set

Ya I remember you did that a while back, and that is something I will consider as it would be the easiest for sure, but I kinda want to put a pair on the bumper in the grill area, like the JK hood light bar some use. But I do not think I would want to chop up my bumper to make it happen. Drill holes Im ok with, but carving out notches makes me nervous, heh.

So I tested out the new awning...It took me 1 mins to setup.

I just need to make some adjustment to the position and it's ready for summer or winter :jester:

I still haven't checked mine since the DuraTracs were mounted. I need to do that tonight, especially now that the colder air is here, I'm sure the PSI dropped.
