I have 240-70-16s and I have the same gas mileage as with the stock tires. IMO the stance looks 100% better than the thinner stock tires.

Looking at your tire, any though on the next set?

I need a set next spring and looking for idea (from freak about gas millage  )

I can't offer much advice since I don't know much about tires.
Seems like the best idea is to not go any wider. I'm most likely going to stick with 225/75/16 when I get new tires soon.

Neat design. In my opinion the best looking "KK" decal!

I got a 35 mm socket and a big breaker bar today so I can change out my bad CV this weekend. I also picked up a quality grease gun and a 90 degree coupler at Napa to make greasing those ball joints a little easier.

Finally had some time and some decent weather to wash her.
I hate not being able to do it when it starts to get freezing outside.

Been secretly working on this project (I did not fabricate the actual panel myself). The three small rockers will control red LED lighting inside and the two outer large rockers (which will be matching soon) will control my KC lights that are going up soon. The middle one will control my CB radio

:ROTFL: I love the squatch lights. I may have to steal that idea when I get my lights.

I wish someone made sliders that fit up under where rocker panel lies. To give that little bit of exrta clearance.

This is why Sliders are important for wheeling in Central Texas. They were all black before Saturday. Every grey/silver area is where I either hit or slid across a rock. With out them my Libby would be in pretty bad shape.

Thanks guys, Squatch lights are classy and I think I'm going to go with those on either side of my CB rocker (although I have another Tiki coming in too, so I can always switch out)

JeepNCrowd, those pics made me pucker for you  I need to get on getting sliders..

Counting down to some quality Jeep wrenching time this weekend. Oil change, lift lube, swapping out a bad CV, touching up paint chips & scratches on the sliders and roof rack, and pretty much getting her ready for the Thanksgiving road trip to Michigan. :JEEPIN:

I'm guessing this will be your longest road trip with the lift kit installed?
Stretch those legs! :JEEPIN:

Yup! She's been out to southern Michigan a bunch of times before, but now I've got the Duratracs. I'm hoping to hit 19 or 20 mpg on the highway. We will see! In any event, the CV needs changing beforehand, because on a trip that long it will probably fail and I'm sure that would not be a good thing! It goes "clunk clunk clunk" now even in town, but especially over 55 mph.

How many miles will you be traveling? I'll take a guess and say 19.5-20 mpg.
Which parameters are you gonna have set up on the ScanGauge?

It's about 600 miles, a full day. I like to have instant MPG, average mpg, voltage, and coolant temp on the Scangauge, although sometimes I vary the last two. Suggestions?
