Last night I went to the store and when I came out to get in my jeep and leave it would not move in gear first thing I checked was fluid and it was fine so I tried again it moved when given allot of pedal then it started to slip very bad and buck I maid it home. After siting over night I went to pull it in my garage and same thing slipping very bad and fluid now smell's like it is burnt so my question is can a bad TC cause that or is it the tranny it self?

Dark colored fluid and burnt smelling is not good! Filter could be stopped up? :?:
Drop the oil pan and change oil and filters, refill with new fluid and see if it cures the problem.

OR get it to a good transmission shop and let them service and inspect the transmission.
Good luck! :SOMBRERO:

I will try that and add some Lucas, I did change both filters and fluid last season but will try again.

Sound like the converter gave up. Or you put in aftermarket filters and on of them popped open or the seal when bad.

I would look at the value body solenoids. If those are good, then start looking at maybe the front pump in the trans

When my converter doo doo the bed I was driving up a long grade. It just lost all power. Motor revved find, but jeep would not move. No forward gears no reverse. I had no codes for a tcm or trans fault

Change out the solenoid pack and the fluid and check again, about $400 if you do it yourself.

Could be a bad pump or almost failed TC. The trans incorrect gear ratio means there is too much slip between input/output shaft and points to a failed tc. Hope it turns out well.

I hope I don't have to pull the trans but if it comes to it I have no choice...what's the best way to check the vavle body/ solenoid?

After replacing the TC with the Euro model several weeks ago, my 2005 Libby (130K mikes) started exhibiting the identical symptoms and I took it back to the independent shop that did the TC swap. After checking codes that were similar to the ones posted here, the shop dropped the pan and replaced the aftermarket filter they installed with a Mopar filter. I'm not sure I've got the whole story why the shop suspected the aftermarket filter yet, but they claim the Libby now runs and drives fine. I will be picking it up later today and hopefully get the rest of the story.

The non oem filters don't seal and cause air to get into the system. When I first picked up my crd, I had issue with surging. I pulled the pan and put in new OEM mopar filters and it fixed the issue.

Update I removed the tranny pan and first thing I noticed is the canister filter was laying in the pan! The plastic Peace cracked and it fell off! I put Mopar filters/fluid in it and it pulled out my garage perfect but when going up the hill it bucked and slipped in higher gears it l drives fine in lower gears tho...I added some Lucas and I'm going to disconnect my battery to try and clear the codes as my scanner won't let me? But if it still acts up what kinds damage can come from that filter comeing off?

Sounds like your overdrive clutch pack is burnt up.
Its probably time for a transmission rebuild.
