Hi Guys,

As I type my wife is broken down again with our 2006 2.8 CRD last year it split the turbo hose from the inter cooler to turbo, (I think) a fault code stated excess turbo pressure, this time it has blown it off.

When I replaced it last year the old hose was full of oil...!

It has only covered 69,000 miles...

Any ideas...?

Cheers,

Dave.

Yea, do a Google for samco crd (eBay may have them too). Also read Sam's noob guide for other tips, you may even find the part number for your blown hose. Those are known to fail, this is why I'd suggest you get samco brand.

What type of turbo to intercooler hose(s) do you have and what type of clamps (factory, aftermarket worm or "T" clamps)? "has blown it off" presumably "it"=a CAC hose but which one and "off" what?

You may want to check you air filter to turbo hose too.
Those are known to deteriorate and come apart.

This happened to me also. I am using the Samco hoses and the Samco provided hose clamps... After doing my timing belt job, I had one of the hoses come off. A few weeks later the other hose came off.. I am putting it down to not rechecking the hoses after they have been on for a while. They seem to loosen up and just need to be re-torqued down.. At least that's what I am hoping for.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the replies. It's running standard hoses with standard clamps. I didn't go back to tighten the clamps after putting it on after it split about a year ago, but it stayed on a year...!?

Now it's been replaced this time I'll make a point of checking them in a while..

Cheers,

Dave.

I have noticed on the various forums that most owners prefer using the original clamps with their SAMCO hoses rather than use the clamps provided by SAMCO. I would not know as it is difficult to get SAMCO here in SA so I had to buy OEM hoses when my one hose blew! :(
