Buy 2 on ebay and get a locksmith to program them for you if you do not have two working keys. . It will be a lot cheaper than the dealer. I paid $50 to get one programmed a couple years ago. If you have 2 other programmed keys(does not have to be remote, but they must start the car), then you could program them yourself, by following steps in the owners manual.
I have two keys that start it.
But I want the remotes, not just keys that start it.
If your keys start it then your chip is functioning. The vehicle will not stay running if the OEM key with correct chip is far from the steering column.
I discovered that when the keys get wet, the flexible key pad is what needs to be replaced. This happened to me after I ran the key in the washing machine..... I left it in the pocket of my jeans and I found a used replacement pad on eBay.
