Hey gang. I have an 08 that is not blowing heat. With the motor fully warmed up to operating temperature the air comes out the vents cold. If I set the fan on the lowest setting it will trickle out luke warm at best. If the fan is on high, it's cold. Now here's the tricky part. If I engage the recirculate function, it will turn on the air conditioning and blow ice cold AC, even when the temp dial is in the red, hot position.
I don't believe this to be a mechanical issue, such as a blend door or heater core. It seems like it's a control circuit/ electronics problem.
She has just under 75k and has never had any cooling system service done. And she doesn't over heat or anything.
I'm thinking I need to visit the stealership, unless anyone has some ideas for me to try. Thanks in advance if you do!
Also, has anyone had the solenoid for the brake pedal - shift lock get real noisy on them? Like a distinct and loud 'thunk' of the solenoid engaging and disengaging when pressing the brake pedal while in Park?
Cause mine is sounding like it's about to poop the bed on me
