Ok guys sorry but I changed up the poll to just tires in the 245/75R16 size, let me know what you think, please and thank you.

I would like a good all around tire but treads that are fairly close to the with of the side walls if that makes sense.

These are the 2 rims I am also choosing from but not sure on how far they will stick out compared to the stock jeep wheels

Pro Comp Series 7069, 16x8 Flat Black Machined (Backspace=4)
Pro Comp La Paz Series 29, 16X8 with 5 on 4.5 Bolt Pattern - Satin Black (Backspace=4.5)

Just bought the 1.5 inch Ironman 4x4 lift kit
I don't plan on regearing right away unless I get a huge tax return

Thanks in advance,
JeepMonkey190

Two questions , well 3 actually
why 8 inch wheels ?
are you regearing ? if not none of the above
how much lift do you have?

Tom raises a good point. None of these will fit without lifting. 7" wide rims are a better choice and watch your backspace, stock is too much. 32" tires require regearing and I'd highly recommend it with 31" tires. 15" rims will fit but the lower ball joint threads will rub most rims.

Do you know how to set up gears? If you've done it before and are comfortable doing the work yourself then by all means do it. If you've never done it before then hire it out, this isn't an area for trail and error. Whatever you do, don't trust a shop based on their claim of being "experts". Do some research, get references if possible and by all means take it to a shop that specializes in drivetrains and guarantees their work.
It is an expensive upgrade and now would be the time to add lockers or limited slips. The labor will cost the lion's share of the work. You'll need for each axle a master rebuild kit, ring and pinion and whatever locker you decide to add. Figure about $1000 per axle for just the gear job. It's totally worth it but it's important that it's done right the first time. Loud gears will drive you crazy lol.
We have a Chrysler corporate 8 1/4" rear and a high pinion, reverse cut Dana 30 front. You'll have a hard time finding stuff listed for the front. It takes the same gears as a JK. 4.10 for 31" and smaller, 4.56 for 32". It wouldn't hurt to use 4.56 for 31"

First I see you added in the lift after I posted and are getting the Ironman
NOT enough lift for the size tires you are wanting to run. You need 4 plus inches of lift
Stick with a 245-75-16 and then down the road when you get the $$$ for gears etc you can upgrade with more lift, deeper gears and bigger tires
And Teds right gears are not something you just watch a Youtube Video and then do it, unless you have done them before then pay the experts .

Duratracs are great off road, and I hear they're good for snow. The 245/75's are really a 30.5" tire. And the 265/75 are closer to 31.7. I also hear that the 15" wheels are hit and miss as to whether the fit over the brakes.

I like my Duratracs. Great for every day use, snow, sand, and mud. It's an all terrain, but it seems to be one of the most aggressive all terrains out there.

The Kumhos are an OK tire, ran them in a 255-70 back when mine was still growing.
They were an OK tire but just average in snow. Wasn't impressed.
Durtracs rock in the snow, 64,000 miles on mine and still digging and slingin'
With that lift 245-75-16s

Are you just going with the springs/shocks for the lift? Or do you plan on a top plate and/or clevis lift?

Image

Here's 245/75-16s on 3.5" of lift. Adding a top plate and clevis lift will get you to my height, or around my height.

I know you have AtTheHelm's bumper so I don't know if that will change how large a tire you can fit or not.

I think I'm going to just stick with the springs and shocks for the lift I think, and do you have any pictures of your lib straight on or straight from the back? Im not sure if I like the profile of the Dura's but there aren't that many pictures of them straight on while installed.

And Tom how many miles did you get out of the Kumho's? Just out of curiosity :)

Something like this? Or would you like to see the tread design? I think I have a pic of the tread. I could always take more pics if you'd like.

Only ran them maybe 15-16,000 miles and sold them. Didn't like the way they felt on the road, the tread seemed to get "harder" the more miles they got on them etc.

15" rims fit over the brakes, it's the lower ball joint threads that rub. Not on all but a lot of 15" rims have a bend in that spot. I didn't check any alloy rims, just the steel ones I wanted that Summit Racing had in stock.

As of right now, this is the best I have. I'll gladly snap a few pics later when I get back to the Jeep.

Pretty much any Mud tire will suck in snow and slick roads, they just have a tread that excels in mud and not much else. Its obvious you want the aggressive knobby look, so the Duratracs are you best bet for looking that way and being decent on road as well. There are better ATs , but they will not look as aggressive.

I had the Mickey Thompson Baja MTs and they were awesome in the snow but since I can't get any 15" rims those are out of the question :(
