went to one other auto zone before I wised up and decided to call all the others in my area. Either they didn't have it or it wasn't $1...I even asked them to scan it over the phone. Then had some friends check their local auto zones and they didn't ring up as $1 either. Looks like it's either hit or miss depending on location.

fyi: Was at local Autozone tonight getting some ATF+4 and manager told me the reduced Qt. or gallon price does not show up until you total up and get ready to pay. Rings up at normal price, then backs the discount out! They are not advertising the 1.00 price!

If anyone needs some in the central GA area, local store has got a bunch of new gallons in stock today!
I'm getting oil poor! :goink:

Finally found 2 qts at an Autozone in Garner (last 2 they had). They actually had a price tag underneath it with the $1.00 price advertised. I saved my receipt and I'm going to see if Walmart will price match. Prolly not but its worth a try.

It's hit and miss in Chicago. One had it for $1.00 other one had it for 8.99 and ask to price match the dollar price. Manger said no but would hold it for a week for me and call me if it dose go down.

I just went to another autozone here in central ma and they knew nothing about it and it rang up as retail price. I had them call the store I went to yesterday to confirm and he did. They told me to come I later when the "big boss" was there.

I checked around here and that oil in quarts was clearenced out 5-6 months ago. I knew I wouldn't be lucky.

I picked up 22qts at one store and then another Autozone price matched the other 6 (after doing a double take at the $1 price). I'm set on oil for loooong while now.

Dang you guys. All of the stores I have went no longer sell the quarts. I am however up to my 20th gallon at 12.99

My zip is 60953. I'm about 2 hours from Chicago and try to stay away from there. Lol

I am from north west of Watseka about 17 miles. By the big city of L'Erable.

I do my best to boycott Crooked County myself. Try not to go there and try not to do business with anybody or company from the communist controllers up there. They run the state and hitting them financially is the best way to make a point that we do not want to deal with them.
If they change their ways, I will still have trouble going to the city, just because.

I don't even like going to Kankakee.

Holy crap, your not the far away from me. That was you thatsnatched it all up. I was at the watseka store and they were checking the Kankakee store. I figured it was a tdi guy that took it all. Oh well, I have gotten 20 gallons myself now. Good to know there is a fellow crd'er somewhat close to me

Just ran across this thread, but Autozone did the same thing here in Vegas during the summer. The last manager that I talked to said that they are not going to carry the quarts anymore and only the bigger size (1 gallon I think). I did hit the stores on the west side of town and managed to get 17 qts. at $1each! Unfortunately, I have 3 CRD's and they haven't lasted as long as I would have liked.
