Hey
I bought my Kj crd with 190kms on it in September. From a local dealer in southern Ontario. Its been a great commuter in the country, but having a problem in the winter with my electronics. My traction control, abs and esp will turn off and lights will come on in the dash at random times. It goes away after a while by driving, or by turning it on or off. But its a repeating problem, actually lost all power once came to a complete stop turned it on and off and was good to go again. The thing I don't get is that it happens randomly with no consistency. Time for a new battery maybe? Any other ideas? (Ps my cruise control hasn't worked either) Thanks a lot folks!

ABS sensors can cause many problems including loss of cruise control, traction control etc because mismatching signal levels cause systems to drop out. Sometimes the sensors are just very dirty and will b ok after cleaning but they are pretty cheap so i'd just replace them to start with. Yes it could be vbattery related but when your running the vehicle its subject to altetnator output. You can check the battery but my money is on at least one faulty ABS sensors.

I would also check the wiring harness where it comes through the fire wall, it's a known area of contention and will cause all the issues you're talking about all at once.

Given you have an '06, I would expect that it is a shorting wiring harness in the back of the engine compartment.

Yep, check what the guys have said...there is a known problem with the 2006 CRD wher the wire harness may short to chassis behind the fuel filter head mounting bracket. Remove this bracket and check for frayed wires.
