It seems alot of people have been getting into wrecks with their libertys. Lets see some pics of just how safe these things are, and how bad some of us cant drive.

Ohh, I've never wrecked.

You should knock on wood, I haven't yet but im not gonna get cocky about it, for the most part the liberty seems pretty solid, and from what ive seen its pretty safe, but some brutal pics would be nice.

OK so I don't have picks and it wasn't really a wreck but yesterday I had Duck fly into the side of my KJ going down the freeway. When I stopped to check out the damage I couldn't find any, no dent, no scratch, nothing. I couldn't believe it. The sheet metal on this thing is apparently very tough.

Here's a picture of mine from an accident I had. I rear-ended a Nissan X-terra doing about 30 mph. No airbag deployment. Total repair cost was a little over $7k, covered by insurance.

I got hit on the right side by a woman running a red lite
Took two weeks it did the doors and under both doors
got doors and even new front fender and all under the doors
Got to rent Grand Cherokee one week and got TJ next week
that's how the wife settled on her TJ Unlimited went to Florida one week end and Hunting beach SC the next end.
the dealer said it was mostly cosmetic no structural damaged a uni-body
go figure.

You can't see at this angle but the passenger side fender was bent up too. Yeah they replaced the radiator and the support for it. The biggest part was the repainting. They even repainted the front doors even though they weren't damaged (I guess to make it blend better). And the decals and pinstripe was a few hundred to replace also. Also replaced the entire front bumper fascia since I busted one of my fogs. At first the only way you could tell anything was replaced was because it wasn't covered in dried mud. I fixed that problem since. :D

Front window busted out and windshield busted. My daughter was driving and only had a broken collarbone and glass cuts. Drove off a steep cliff and through a fence on the edge of the road it was nighttime and raining. Very Lucky!

Got this off jeepprojects.com....

Liberty hits a semi at 40, neither Liberty driver nor the Truck driver is hurt.

I-75 near the Fayette County-Madison County border is back open after police chased an apparent drunk driver driving south in the northbound lanes. The driver eventually hit a semi head-on, closing the road for several hours.

The incident began at about 3:20 a.m. Police say William Brann, 33, of Lexington was driving a Jeep Liberty southbound in the northbound lanes at about 40 miles per hour near mile marker 104 near Athens. One officer was able to shadow the Jeep while driving in the southbound lanes as other officers began shutting down exits along the Jeep's path.

After a short pursuit, police say Brann then hit the semi at around mile marker 90. Neither Brann nor the driver of the semi were seriously hurt.

Brann, who was transported to UK Hospital, has been charged with wanton endangerment, fleeing and evading, and DUI.

(can't get the IMG tag to work so you'll have to go to http://static.flickr.com/54/148288611_2 ... 40.jpg?v=0 to see the pic)

well, that's not really the ONLY thing that sucks, i mean, unless you don't count the fact that the KJ is probably totaled...lol
