The dealership working on replacing my rockers and exhaust cam is having trouble finding the cam (Chrysler evidently is out of stock). What's a good place to find OEM parts like this?

X3!

Kind of funny that ID has more parts then the entire US Chrysler parts network, but not surprising?

Well idparts has more CRD specific stuff than Chrysler - of course they also pay more attention to CRD's than all of Chrysler.

although I have gotten reasonable response from Mopar parts America
http://www.moparpartsamerica.com/splash/index.cfm?siteid=214583
although I haven't ordered anything from them in the last year or so.

and for what they carried - Rockauto was reasonable - but they're not a dealership

MoparPartsAmerica is as much a "parts house" as you or I are. ALL they have done is created a website and allowed people to send them orders. They then take those orders to THEIR local dealership and place the order.

If Chrysler's national system can't get the part... Then either can MPA.

IDparts.com meanwhile, is an honest-to-goodness independent business owned by a lunatic that still loves the CRD... Despite what Chrysler has tried to do to it. He deserves our business, it helps him pay for the Mopar-caused therapy! :goink:

If he doesn't have the parts, he can help you find them. But he will have what you want for the CRD, and at a MUCH BETTER PRICE than Mopar will want from you!

pretty sure MPA is a Dealership - based on a couple of attempts to contact them
they're a bit cheaper than my local dealerships.
(and faster than my local dealerships)

if Corey (IDParts) has it - I'd order from him

but I don't expect him to carry everything - that's a lot of invetory

I use http://www.moparonlineparts.com/ in Westbury NY, they are a dealer, there is also Lee Parts in NH, I have used them as well. Both are dealers.
