I will start with replacing the fuel head 'cause it's obviously leaking but I'm keeping all of your suggestions on note.

I'll keep refreshing the thread till the problem is solved.

Thanks and if you have further ideas, keep em coming !

It's alive !!
We started by changing a glow plug controller, followed by a fresh new battery (even though the other one had less then 2 years) and finally changed the fuel heater head for the second generation one... After priming and trying 4 times to start it...voila, it fired up to my complete joy !

Thank all for all your help !!!

Air In Fuel. It will get the best of you. The hardest thing to trouble shoot in a diesel.

imho it ran out of fuel. This happened to me after a basketball game. I jumped out of the truck and pumped up the fuel filter. Oh, I also gave my fuel heater wrap time to melt some fuel in the filter (WVO Designs sales these things) and the truck started back up. I just drove slow so not to run out of fuel in the filter that wasn't all jelled up.

This is what happened to me the other day and what I didn't to get going again. And I think that the truck will start just fine once the weather warms.

Anything is possible.
I just know that once the 2nd generation fuel head was installed and primed, the Jeep started with some difficulty but never the less started. I was so happy that I didnt want to turn it off... Went for a ride just to make sure no trouble came up...

Many thanks to all !

The Jeep starts well but really needs to be plugged in in cold weather.

This summer, it will be timing belt time...See you then !!

I keep mine plugged in at night, and she fires right up in the morning. At work, she sits in the cold all day. The coldest days, well below zero, I found turning the key on and letting the GPs run for ~30sec after the light turns off, she'll fire on the 4th or 5th crank. Double cycling does nothing but delay the start.
