Hey guys

Anyone running an aftermarket or secondary tranny cooler on their CRD?

I have the same tranny in my Power Wagon. These trannys are known for their heat, and I like to help keep the temps down. There is a very simple fix for the Power Wagons, remove the 7 row tranny cooler and replace it with a Ram 3500 21 row tranny cooler. Takes less than 5 min and it bolts right back in place.

Just curious what's out there for the CRD's.

Seems odd that the Powerwagon doesnt have the same cooler as the 3500. I mean don't they expect people to be rock crawling that thing with all the diffs locked up.

I towed 6500lbs with the jeep the other day and by the end of the trip you could tell that the torque converter was getting "loose" probably from heat. I am thinking of putting one in, maybe with a fan.

Thanks for the links Papa. Those will help big time.

Most of us Power Wagon guys still scratch our heads about several decisions Dodge made in regards to the Wagons. But the size of the tranny cooler is a joke, especially considering the heat the 545rfe generates. With the Mag Hy-tec tranny pan and the larger cooler I was able to drop my temps by 40-50 degrees.
