There is some good info there and it is a good place to shop for rigs and such but there are very few people there that Won't give you a hard time. Overall the site is entertaining at best.

What do you want to know? I have been a member there for quite a while (same screen name)

Most of your general tech forums are "college" level technical knowledge for off road vehicles. Putting a frankenlift would not count. Putting a SOLID axle under the front would. They are harsh and crass but have WAY more information then you will ever need. Just bring thick skin, a odd humor, and don't get butthurt. :P

Now the "Newbie" forums are just that. Flame free zones that are better suited to entry level questions.

But like I said there is more information than you could possibly handle on ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. Right now the search is down for non-red star members (due to the number of members) but go and use google to search just www.pirate4x4.com/forums and you will see what I mean by a vast knowledge base.

Hmmm...trolling Pirate from here might not be such a good idea. Hopefully they will not start up crap in our forum.

Yeah man..thats asking for a good amount of abuse for sure. They do have alot of good info but it's not a family friendly site at all but can be pretty funny.

I would think that Wally's KJ would do just fine over there once it's tested.

Reminds me of that John Candy movie "UNCLE BUCK"

"your not going in there wearing that hat are you ....they'll murder you " :P

^ love the Uncle Buck reference...classic John Candy. Also, love the the look of Parakeet's KJ. I did not want to lift mine originally, but pics of lifted Renegades are driving me to it!!! I definitely want more aggressive tires soon, I hate the stockers!

well as of this morning no one has even posted anything regarding my KJ. I'm not trying to instigate a forum war or anything I'm just trying to gauge the feelings of the KJ's on other forums. Yea the KJ's have a following on the lost boards but what about others. Is the KJ starting to get some respect in the off-road world? I guess we'll find out. And it's not like I was slamming their site or their rigs. I tried to be tastefull about what I said on their site.
