I talked to him with questions and his reply was that he is an Audi mechanic and it is a German engine and he did the belt! I replied that it is an Italian VM engine, I get the idea that the belt had broken, he said he replaced lifters and rockers and parts are easy to find, also asked what transfer case it had and he said manual.I don't know about his mechanical abilities. It is a limited with cloth seats(I thought Limited had leather)and it looks clean, but I don't want to buy someone mess?
What do you guys think?
Thanks

On the Atlanta Craigslist. The transmission is an automatic, I was asking if it had full-time or part-time 4WD?

My limited had cloth seats and no EVIC as well - Driver's seat was power, passenger wasn't. My limited also didn't have heated seats.

He might be right in thinking that the transfer case is manual (Technically it is) BUT if he is so far wrong on everything else... I'd say bring a VERY big dose of buyer-beware to look at it.

Maybe someone nearby could help out in inspecting it (Always a good plan to bring someone NOT involved in the purchase of a vehicle to be the voice of reason) and our benevolent leader Dan (dgeist) lives in Atlanta. Might be worth contacting him.
